The faculty offers a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Textile Engineering in one of the following specializations: Textile Engineering and Technology, Apparel Engineering and Technology, and Technical Textiles Engineering, over ten semesters. It also offers a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Materials Engineering and Technology.
Additionally, the faculty offers postgraduate diplomas, master’s degrees, and Ph.D. degrees in Textile Engineering Technology.

Bachelor’s Curriculum in Engineering and Industrial Technology

Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Textile Engineering

The courses in this program are designed to prepare graduates with extensive knowledge and expertise in the components of machinery, equipment, and devices, as well as the methods for their operation and maintenance. Graduates will be capable of designing textiles, selecting raw materials suitable for various applications, and linking these applications to cultural heritage, beliefs, and the surrounding environment. They will also be proficient in processing and finishing textiles to achieve the desired properties, with a deep understanding of and application to the responsibilities and ethics of practicing engineering in diverse environments.

The Bachelor's degree curriculum (Honors) in Textile Engineering, specializing in Garment Engineering and Technology

is designed to prepare graduates capable of utilizing modern technologies in the design and manufacturing of garments to suit various uses. Graduates will be able to identify the applications and fields of use for processed garments, operate and maintain the machinery, equipment, and devices related to garment production, select appropriate raw materials for garment design for specific purposes, choose methods for disposing of surplus and waste materials from garments without harming the environment, and participate in applied research in the field of garment engineering.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Textile Engineering, Specialty in Technical Textiles Curriculum

The curriculum of this specialization is designed to prepare graduates capable of identifying the areas of application for technical textiles and their uses, operating and maintaining the machines, equipment, and devices specific to technical textiles, selecting raw materials suitable for the design and production of technical textiles for specific purposes, utilizing modern technologies in the design and manufacturing of technical textiles to suit various industrial and applied uses, and choosing appropriate methods for disposing of surplus and waste of technical textiles without harming the environment. The curriculum also includes participation in conducting applied research in the field of textile engineering technology.

Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Industrial Engineering Curriculum

The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates capable of communicating with various industrial institutions in the field of industrial engineering. They will acquire information and data using modern technologies available to enable effective communication with others in the field of industrial engineering, utilize multimedia to present and deliver information to beneficiaries in the industrial engineering domain, and be proficient in writing, presenting, and discussing scientific knowledge in engineering fields, whether in Arabic or English, and using computers and the internet.

Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Materials Engineering and Technology Curriculum.

The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates capable of communicating with various industrial institutions in their field, understanding teamwork, working within a professional group, and possessing basic management skills and leadership in professional groups. They will also have research abilities in the field of materials science and engineering and the capacity to understand and apply economic knowledge principles in the engineering field.
