Admission and Registration Department
This department is responsible for implementing the decisions of the Unified Admission Committee for higher education institutions, taking all necessary steps for admitting new students to the university’s various faculties, transferring students between departments and faculties, and from other universities to the University of Gezira. It also documents and stores the information and data of admitted students in various formats. Additionally, it handles all registration procedures and reviews lists of registered students.
Undergraduate Studies Department
- Supervises all matters related to undergraduate students, including registration, withdrawal, re-admission, transfers, petitions, and bridging programs.
- Maintains regular records of students enrolled at the university at the start of each semester.
- Reviews students’ results at the end of each semester and ensures compliance with the academic regulations for undergraduate studies.
- Keeps records of the results of all students at the university.
- Reviews the graduation lists after approval by the faculty councils and submits them to the Professors’ Council for approval.
Technical Diplomas Department
Supervises all matters related to students of technical diplomas in the same manner as the Undergraduate Studies Department.
Certificates Department
Responsible for preparing and accrediting academic, honorary certificates, and awards, and documenting all academic information and data for students who have been approved for graduation by the Professors’ Council.
Faculty Affairs Department
Monitors the qualification and training of faculty members and support staff, both within Sudan and abroad. The department also oversees the appointment and promotion processes for faculty members.
Technology and Technicians Department
Responsible for enhancing methods, tools, and techniques for practical applications in the university’s faculties. The department also serves as the secretariat for the university’s laboratory committee.
