Centers -Faculty of Industries Engineering and Technology (IET)
Center for Fibers, Paper, and Recycling
Established in 2009.
Objectives:
- Conduct research on fiber sources, paper industries, recycling, and their uses.
- Contribute to environmental conservation and safety by recycling certain waste materials.
- Train students at the postgraduate diploma, master’s, and doctoral levels in the fields of the center’s focus.
- Utilize available local fiber sources and develop them to serve textile and paper industries.
- Train technical staff in fiber, paper, and recycling industries.
- Provide technical consultations to organizations interested in fiber, paper, and recycling industries.
