About Secretary of Academic Affairs

Establishment

The Secretary of Academic Affairs is responsible for organizing and developing academic affairs at the university. It serves as the main arm for implementing the university’s academic goals, overseeing its academic system, and following up on the decisions of its various academic councils. The future vision of the Secretary of Academic Affairs is to achieve academic stability and strive for global excellence in both level and content, as well as in practice. This is done by fulfilling its mission to enhance academic programs, teaching methods, and student registration, while ensuring the follow-up on their academic matters according to quality standards.

Objectives

 

    1. Organize and coordinate admission and registration procedures.
    2. Monitor and approve results, and maintain them.
    3. Issue academic degrees for undergraduate students, technical diplomas, and distance education programs.
    4. Develop and update academic programs, curricula, teaching methods, and assessment techniques.
    5. Activate and enhance academic regulations to ensure quality performance in faculties.
    6. Monitor academic activities and the academic environment.
    7. Organize, follow up on, and improve the qualification, training, and promotion of faculty members.
    8. Supervise the training of technicians.
    9. Establish, strengthen, and develop academic relationships with national, regional, and global universities and academic institutions.
    10. Promote the concept of quality, assessment, and continuous improvement in performance.
    11. Follow up on the implementation of the decisions of the Professors’ Council.
