Establishment of the Postgraduate College
- Postgraduate programs at the university’s faculties and institutes began with its establishment in 1978.
- The programs have expanded and diversified, exceeding 200 programs.
- In University Council Meeting No. 2001/11, an order was issued to establish the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research.
- With the significant expansion of postgraduate studies at the university, the deanship evolved into the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies in 2017.
College Objectives
- Planning, coordinating, and developing postgraduate programs at the university in collaboration with faculties and institutes.
- Creating a distinguished academic environment for postgraduate studies.
- Providing high-quality teaching services in postgraduate education.
- Encouraging postgraduate research aimed at serving the community.
- Rationalizing the use of human and material resources through coordination between relevant postgraduate research.

- Effective contribution in realizing economics and social development in Sudan in general and rural community in particular by publishing outputs of graduate studies and research and participating in its adoption and ensuring its ownership by decision makers and stakeholders.
