The faculty awards a Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery degree in ten academic semesters.
Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery Curriculum
The faculty follows a semester system with a credit-hour structure and continuous training. Students undergo practical training in fieldwork courses, primary healthcare, and oral health programs in villages, rural hospitals, and healthcare centers.
In 2012, the faculty updated and developed its curriculum to align with significant advancements in dental medicine and surgery at local, regional, and global levels. This ensures that the curriculum remains unique with a forward-looking vision, reinforcing the leadership and excellence of the University of Gezira in medical education. It also equips students with the professional skills and competencies required in the fields of dental medicine and surgery.
