Centers - Faculty of Animal Production
Center for Extension and Rural Development
The center was established in 2001 in the city of Managil, with the following key objectives:
- Promoting and encouraging the production and preservation of primary and secondary animal products.
- Developing continuous training programs for farmers and livestock owners to enhance their knowledge and update their skills in animal husbandry.
- Focusing on training rural women in poultry farming and other fields related to animal husbandry, home management, and family and community issues.
- Supporting productive family programs.
- Providing animal health services to farmers and livestock breeders.
- Adopting the concept of pastoral farms and supporting natural rangeland conservation programs in the Managil area.
- Establishing mobile treatment and preventive units to deliver services to livestock breeders in their locations.
The center consists of the following units:
- Unit for Manufacturing Primary and Secondary Animal Products.
- Unit for Training Farmers and Livestock Owners.
- Community Studies Unit.
- Programs and Exchange Unit.
- Animal Nutrition and Health Services Unit.
