The University of Gezira Deans’ Council, in its first meeting of 2025, chaired by Professor Salah Al-Din Al-Arabi, the University Chancellor, affirmed the necessity of resuming studies across all faculties.
The council emphasized the urgency of preparing the university campuses in Al-Jazira State to facilitate the return to normal academic activities.
Professor Salah Al-Din Al-Arabi, the University Chancellor and Council Chair, directed efforts toward overcoming challenges faced by several faculties, praising the dedication of faculty administrations and central deanships during the previous period. He noted that these efforts have contributed significantly to the resumption of studies and the smooth conduct of examinations.
The Chancellor confirmed the formation of reconstruction committees at the faculty level, which will work in full coordination with the university administration. He added that this follows the establishment of a university-wide reconstruction committee.
He also stressed the importance of resuming work from the university’s buildings in Al-Jazira State, stating that the arrangements for this are progressing as planned. He clarified that online learning will continue until the restoration and maintenance of lecture halls and laboratories are completed.
It is worth noting that the Deans’ Council has confirmed that all upcoming examinations will be held inside the university’s faculty halls in Al-Jazira State.
